BRENDEN
Our Son is Here!
After a longer wait than we expected (the doctor forgot about our Cesarean!), Brenden arrived at 9:11 AM. The Cesarean birth experience was great! All of the doctors, nurses, and other staff were so kind, helpful, and patient. Everything went very smoothly with no problems or complications.Troy went down to the nursery with Brenden, while Kimberly was stiched up and sent to Recovery. While Kimberly was in Recovery, Brenden was assessed, cleaned up, and received his first visitors. After a few hours, our little family was finally reunited.
Brenden's Homecoming
We spent 2 1/2 days in the hospital (Troy was able to spend the night). Brenden was a little jaundiced and had lost a few ounces, but was declared fit and ready to go home. So, we went home on January 31st at about 1:30 PM. We could have stayed one more day, but we were ready to be home in a familiar and comfortable surrounding. The day was a little overwhelming for all of us. Brenden had the most going on. The morning was filled with a PKU test, Hepititas B shot, and circumcision for him. The afternoon was filled with his hospital pictures being taken, and finally, going home. Our 1st day home was wonderful, surreal, and scary all at the same time! It's so hard to believe that Brenden is finally here still. We are so blessed to have this wonderful baby boy.
